OUR MISSION<\/h2>\n\n\n

\nWe work to advance science and technology that could enable sustainable development and help decarbonize our planet. Our efforts focus on the design of materials and devices for the generation of renewable fuels and chemicals. Examples include the generation of green hydrogen from water electrolysis; the scalable capture and conversion of CO2<\/sub> into widely used chemicals that are today obtained from fossil fuels and carbon-intensive processes; and the remediation of damaged ecosystems to generate sustainable fertilizers, among others. We seek to develop solutions for these areas that promote sustainability and scalability.\n\n\n\n

\nOur strategy in this mission is the next:<\/strong>\n\n\n\n

1| We design atomically structured catalysts and systems to drive electrochemical transformations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2| We use light to gain mechanistic understanding of these materials, interfaces, and supported reactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3| We leverage high-throughput screening and AI to accelerate understanding and technology development and scale up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4| We pursue advances in scalable systems at relevant operating conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
